Emily dabbled in the beauty and skin care industry during college while working as a distributor for a MLM company. However, her career in the beauty and skin industry really didn’t begin until a few years after college. In 2007 she became a beauty consultant for a direct sales cosmetic company. It was during that time she realized what she wanted to be when she “grew up.” Emily found her passion in educating people about their skin, providing skin treatments that achieve results and teaching proper skin care routines and makeup application.
Emily’s journey began in 2010 when she became a Certified Makeup Artist and then started Bella Donna Professional Makeup Artistry providing on-location beauty services for weddings, special events, photography and media.
In 2013, Emily became a licensed Esthetician and began working in a large corporate salon. In 2014 she became a Certified Lavish Lashes Eyelash Technician and a year later decided to leave the salon to focus on her on-location beauty business and developing her skills as an Eyelash Technician. Over the years Emily has attended several continuing education classes at the International Dermal Institute, which is where she fell in love with the Dermalogica Skin Care line!
Emily’s dream has been to own her own salon and work closely with her clients on a personal level that goes beyond just providing a brief “feel good” service. Emily wants to provide an experience that is both relaxing and rejuvenating as well as informative and enlightening so that her clients will not only feel good and look good but will also understand and appreciate the maintenance of their ageless beauty.
After much consideration on which path to take, Emily chose to keep it simple and personal. Rather than opening a big full service salon catering to large volumes of people and pushing every beauty service imaginable, along with juggling multiple employees and schedules, Emily chose to go small scale.
So with the support and encouragement of her husband and family, she chose to open a skin and body care salon that consists of just her and her area of expertise and skill set offering a personalized service that focuses on the needs and concerns of one individual client at a time.
Emily chose this path not only for the benefit of her clients, but also for her family. Emily is the mother of four boys ranging in age from 6 to 21 years old. Family is incredibly important to Emily. Her boys are her life! And it is very important to Emily that she is able to keep balance between work and family.
So on March 1, 2018 the dream became a reality and Emily opened Emily's Esthetics, which was formerly located inside Vida Salon Suites.
On March 1, 2023 Emily and Emily's Esthetics partnered with Lacie Amick and Mankato Makeup, LLC and together they opened The Vivid Beauty Lounge! Growth is inevitable!
